Peer Support

You Don't Have to Walk This Path Alone

One-on-one support from someone who truly understands — because she has lived it too.

What Is Peer Support?

Support Rooted in Lived Experience

Peer support is a relationship built on shared experience. As a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS), Karen draws on her own lived experience with mental health, long-term chronic pain, and recovery to offer something that clinical support alone cannot always provide — the understanding of someone who truly knows what this journey feels like from the inside.

This is not therapy. Karen is not a licensed counsellor or clinician. What she offers is a genuine human connection — a space where you can speak honestly, be heard without judgement, and receive practical encouragement from someone who has walked a similar road.

Peer support works alongside other forms of care. Whether you are working with a therapist, a doctor, a pain specialist, or navigating things on your own terms — peer support can be a meaningful and grounding addition to your journey.
